No, plates are just plain. Interesting about lights, they are xenon so will not need to bother with the little stickers. Would insurance companies normally care about driving abroad? Remember that you need also bulbs, a first aid kit, warning triangle, a fire extinguisher, a hi viz vest in the cabin (not the boot), and a breathalyser. Absent the last item, it is good sense to carry all the rest in the UK anyway.
It might be better to fit the headlamp stickers, rather than enter a debate with a flic about xenon lamps if stopped.
I have never had my kit checked by les flics in France, but there is always a first time.

You'll need to tell the insurance company, yes. IIRC, mine sent me soemthing in the post which was effectively a cover note in 6-8 different languages.duckers26 said:

Yes. You'll need to produce an insurance certificate should you be stopped by the police.
I mean this in the nicest possible way, but all of this info is readily available online. Worth checking as you'll need to have quite a bit of stuff ranging from hi-viz vests to breathalysers.

Fitting those stickers to Xenons can actually damage the headlight.As for the GB sticker I simply print one in a large font and bluetac to inside of rear window

Well at least you know that much...You say this as this is what google reveals but its actually wrong (and you mention this in another post)... you have to be discerning when using google but sometimes forums are easier.
