Which would you choose?
A3 S-Line 2.0TDi;
Volkswagon CC (non-GT) 140PS Bluemotion;
Volkswagon Golf GTD;
BMW 118d M Sport.
BMW comes out slightly cheaper, all are circa £23-26k - BIK plays a role and there's a fuel card so not particularly an issue with slight MPG fluctuations.
Taking into account I have an E46 330Ci which I will be keeping (or perhaps changing to something more hardcore like an Elise/VX220 but that's another story for another day) so have my 'more fun' car sorted.
Is there anything else worth looking at which will cost me similar amounts per month? There's not a car list as such as they just buy the car.

If it's just a get-you-to-work car and you'll spend most of the time on the motorway, the Passat CC (or normal Passat) for general waftiness and nice interiors. Or you could save a bit and go for a Skoda.A3 S-Line 2.0TDi;

When you say fuel card, does that mean you are getting some/all of your fuel paid for? If so, wouldn't something a little more juicy be in order?A3 S-Line 2.0TDi;

Still think I'd go for the Passat though for the waft factor although a trip to the VW dealer would definitely be on the cards to test drive both. The only Scirocco I've been in was an R so probably very different to the standard TDi version, although I loved the R.

Yeah it'd be the 150bhp R-Line I think. Definitely in the blue colour! Yeah fuel paid for but they won't fund me to burn through a s

ok then, is there an mpg threashhold you need to meet? Anything else about the cars, like how many doors, seats and do you need a boot?t load or I'd take the allowance and the fuel card and use my 330Ci as a daily.Personally I'd take the BMW as it's the only RWD one you've listed. But a 120d or older 123d might be more fun and no worse to run (are the new only vehicles?)

Looking at cars up to 18 months old on BMW AUC website (diesel, manual, 3 door or coupe) gives loads of 320d M Sports with the latest facelift (E9x) for £25k as well as some 123d M Sport Coupe variants. A nice 320d (or 325d) M Sport would be amazing.

Honestly I truly don't get this "respectable" thing. Would something like a GT86 be on the cards or even a 1.6 base model Elise?
