My Parrot is not repsonding

Not my whoosh parrot, he's fine. It's the other one.

I've got a Parrot Mki9200 in the car. The bluetooth works with my phone. The ipod connection in the glovebox works and plays music.

But the remote thing doesn't respond at all, to anything, with any button, ever - so I can't adjust the volumes of the calls/music or control the ipod. Annoying.

Easy fix or scrap it?

Is it dead or is it just resting?

Should you be planning to complain to the retailer, I'd suggest an approach in line with the below:

'I wish to complain about this parrot what I purchased not half an hour ago from this very boutique'.

Is its head sellotaped on?

Is the control button wired or does that work over BT. If it is BT then it will have it's own battery. May require changing.

Replace the battery!

Had the same issue, even after replacing the battery. Found out one of the terminal contacts had bent flat so wasn't making any connection with the battery (probably because the remote had flexed from jabbing it in frustration!).

Bent it up again - no problems since.

I've got the same problem with mine. Have replaced the battery with no positive result.

Will try checking the connections tonight.

We had this with ours. Transpires the remote was no longer sync'd. There's a process for re-sync'ing the remote - Google is your friend. It worked for us.

Shuffled off to join the Choir Invisible. That will explain the poor sound quality.

Funnily enough both mine and a colleagues are doing excetly the same thing.

Any suggestions welcome.

Both units are just over a year old.

Replace them both on higher perches.

Fantastic JQ, thanks for that. Found the reset procedure online (red, green and play buttons all at once) and the system is working again :-)
