Arden Jaguars

Back in the late 80's I recall reading about these in Performance Car or what ever it was called back then. I was rather taken by the 3.6 coupe and if my flaky memory is correct, it came in a manual. Out of curiosity more than anything else, does anyone have experience of these cars? I was just wondering if they were any different to the standard car.
