I used to think I had a garage worthy of a (22 year old) petrolhead...W124 E220 Barge for commuting and a Fiat Panda 100hp for weekends/fun.
However, I've now got a Skoda Superb Greenline on order (company car) and my warm hatch/barge are being sold to fund a rather expensive holiday (missus' choice).
What's happening to me?! Have I sold out and will I be able to lead a fulfilled life with a modern eco-barge?!

I knew my crisis would generate some entertaining conversation on here.
a) Not mairried - 'missus' was the wrong term to use.
b) It's a satchel, not a man-bag.
c) Cancelling the holiday is out of the question.
The only practical solution is just to wait a year or so until I can afford something interesting for the weekends....but will I make it through the next 12 months without dying of boredom? I'm guessing Skoda Superbs aren't that good on track?!

Regarding the skoda superb on track, it will be as good as you make it, but I'm sure the company your working for don't give you a company car for track day use a) Not mairried - 'missus' was the wrong term to use.

Everyone who hasn't driven one says that. Brother of a collegue of mine uses them for track tuition and he can run rings around a lot of bigger cars on track in it. It genuinely is a very good-handling car. I admit, I don't have to wrestle with it to keep it in a straight line, but then that's not really what I wanted.HTH.
The bikes are all gone, but I still own half a Ducati 749 - perhaps I'll just have to make more use of that.
