Talk me out of it...

For some reason I am leaning towards selling my 2003 A3 2.0 TDI and buying a C140 CL600...
Its mint condition, black, done around 50k miles and is a 1997. It has absolutely every bit of spec and full SH.
I can pretty much sell my car and buy the merc for the same price.. i know its going to cost a fair bit to keep it in pristine nick but...its a flagship merc!
Am I wrong to be thinking suck thoughts?

Might be an idea to speak to a Mercedes based forum and find out everything about buying a used one before viewing. Small faults may be an expensive fix.
Personally I think anyone trading from the safety of a mundane average daily to a super uber smoker barge coupe delux is slightly bonkers.
I would hate to be sane.
If it really is a good un do it.
We traded in her astra 1.6 sxi a few years ago for an older clk 320 petrol (fully loaded) with very low miles. It's a completely different world. Every time you enter the car its an event. It's been faultless apart from a faulty power steering pump. Something I should have picked up when we bought it.
You won't need anyone to tell you about petrol stations.

Are you sure of the way the thing looks?? It's very 'jelly mould' for a Merc, and has dated quicker than a typewriter! And let's face it, its trade value is zilch so it'd be difficult to reverse the deal should you have second thoughts later.
If you quite fancy a Merc with stonking power, the big V8s are a bit more lithe. How about a W208 CLK55 AMG? Or slightly more sensible CLK430? £3,500 - £4,00 should see you in fine examples of either.
Sorry, don't mean to p*ss on your chips. A slightly balmy but nonetheless respectable decision if yo do decide to go for the big old bus!
