50-60k car hopefully hold its value??
Discussion
so thinking of buying something special to enjoy for a couple of years then put back into some investment scheme for when i retire, thats the plan anyways. so thoughts? tvr sagaris springs to mind but having had a few tivs im not so sure, quite fancy a 993 turbo as well. basically something i can use but not take a hiding on....
993 Turbo is a good shout or a classic if thats your bag (E-type etc) Aston Martin Vanquish should not drop much further or something like a Ferrari 355. The choices are plentiful at that sort of budget, just steer clear of anything made in great numbers. A 997 GT3 although a magical car will surely soften in price when the 991 GT3 is launched.
not really into old classics at the mo, aston would be a good choice but are they holding at the moment? think i would have to do some homework on the porsche front but have always loved the 993 i dont really know enough about the gt versions. im guessing nissan gtr's are only going to go down but at what rate i guess is hard to say.
I would suggest the above.
993 911's hold their money well, especially the turbo. I had a look at this car when I was down at Paragon not too long ago. Excellent condition:

Ferrari 355's again a very nice car £40k-£50k will get you a nice one (?). I absolutely love this one

Ferrari 575. A bit more modern than the above. Lot of car for the money.
