Demon Shine. Any good ?

wife brought back a bottle of this from Tesco. Is it to passed on to my dad, or is it ok stuff. Does anyone on here use it.

Its OK as a sheeting agent, and gives an OK shine if you're not into polishing, but other than that, it's nothing special.

If youre talking about the spray on shine? I use it as a detail spray for after a blatt. Spray on, micro fibre off! Works really well.

Same here, I use it after I have rinsed the car, then apply it, makes drying it much easier and keeps a nice little shine on the bodywork.

It just makes the car shiny for a short while, offers no protection like a good wax and polish would. I've used it the odd time for photos or for when selling a car on but it's hard to recommend it as a regular purchase, it's ultimately pointless stuff.

I use it on every wash, keeps the car shining, cleaner and better than just drying with a chamy leather. No substitute fr polish, but means you have to polish less...

That's odd, you ask for advice, then ignore the fact that most people think it does a job but in no way replaces polish and wax and decide that your father is better off with it. It is, as I said, good for using after a 20 minute blatt if you don't want to wash your car every time you drive it. I cant decide whether you like or dislike your own father by giving it to him!

Autoglym Rapid Detailer is a far superior product. It's fantastic stuff and great for giving your car a quick shine.

Not as cheap as demon shine I would imagine....

It's nowhere near as good as a proper wax and polish, though for a quick use product that will turn out a decent result it's pretty good. I find it to be quite pricey next to normal car shampoo for the amount you tend to use when cleaning your car, and so I tend to stick to the normal stuff. It's also useful if your drying cloths are crap!

It's £2 for 2 litres in Asda.

As said above very good as a quick Detailer. I water it down 1/10 and spray on and buff off with a micro fibre cloth.

or put 250 ml in a bucket of water. Chuck it over the car and use it as a drying aid.

For the price quality stuff..

I give the car a detail and wax every 4-6 weeks. For in between washes I use Demon Shine in with the rinse water and it keeps the car looking good without a lot of effort.

Works well for what it is.
