My girlfriend has given hers back to Land Rover due to exactly this. She gave them numerous attempts to fix it but the didn't; court case is looming.I can tell you the one thing he hates the most:

t, quality wise.Yes - had a td4 pure 5 dr manual since march. Done about 4500 miles in it.
No reliability issues so far, had a rattle in the cabin which i located myself and sorted. Other than that faultless.
I average about 38mpg in it which is a little less than i was expecting but not much.
I personally think pure spec is where its at, mine was a few quid less than 30k and has all the kit i will ever need inc heated leather, dual zone climate, auto lights/wipers, fantastic stereo, bluetooth for your phone.
I think they become worse value as you go up the range.
Driven one off road at the land rover experience yorkshire and was amazed how capable it was too!

I don't have one personally, but I manage to blag my Dad's one a lot as I love it so much. It's a (deep breath) Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Si4 Dynamic Lux 5-door. 
I haven't found any build quality issues at all - the cabin is completely rattle-free and nothing has broken. The interior is a lovely place to spend time; it has every toy you could wish for and it is all of a nice quality. I'm itching to get it off-road, but in the snow last winter it was unstoppable (it made my two FWD cars with winter tyres look utterly useless) and the recent flooding has tested its 500mm wading depth. It shrugged it off without any bother. To me, it genuinely seems like a smaller version of the Range Rover Sport for those who simply don't need (or want) the extra bulk. It's an excellent car.
Downsides? The infotainment system is a bit dim-witted and the door mirrors obstruct forward vision almost to the point of being dangerous. Also, the Dynamic suspension setting is best reserved only for track days!
