Paranoid parking sensor

One of my rear parking sensors (Skoda Octavia) is convinced there's soemthing behind it. Anyone know if they tend to be repairable or easy to replace?

I've cleaned the surface, is that the sensor itself or I do I need to pop it out to clean it properly?

It will probably be cheaper to replace than repair. Can you get under the bumper and have a look at where the wiring goes?

On my car, the four rear parking sensors lead into a small ECU in the spare wheel well, where each sensors clips into place. Removal simply requires you to unclip the sensor, and then pull the whole thing out from the bumper.

The only question is how universal the parking sensor connectors are... but I'm sure you can find individual sensors for sale on ebay or get one from your dealer.

Small tip, tie a piece of long string to the end of the parking sensor wire before you pull it out of the bumper to make re-fitting the new sensor easier.
