What wiper blades

After a little while hanging on and cleaning the screen weekly, Ive decided its high time for some new blades on the Octavia daily hack. However, the standard ones are awful, fking ridiculously awful in fact. So, whats the best upgraded option?

Retro-fit flat blades from wiperblades.co.uk; use them everytime I replace my blades on the Saab; they do a huge range of sizes and fitments so you should be able to find something.

We always fit standard Bosch blades and have never had any complaints

Bosch Aerotwins on the front for my Octavia. It's an estate and it doesn't seem to matter what I put on the back - it never clears the top properly ....


Edited to add that when I joined PistonHeads I never expected to be having convesations about Skoda wiper blades

I second this. Brought a few pairs from these guys and an excellant service. Always have 4 or 5 options for each car ranging in price. I ordered some last friday, and they where sent out and delivered next day.

Cannot fault them.

The cheapest on eBay for me, flat blades - never had a problem

As mentioned above, PIAA for me. They last years and have silicone in them. Pricy relative to others but imo well worth the expense.

Whilst on the subject of the Octavia, do you know the size of the rear one? I can't find a rear one listed at all on ECP for example....

Should be 13" on the back according to wiperblades.co.uk/

Anyone tried the XOPC silicone ones? I've tried various Bosch etc and always been disappointed with them, tempted to silicone but these are highly rated and half the price of the PIAA ones.

HOW much? Twenty quid for a pair of wiper blades - and those are the cheapest ones listed! (I hope that's per pair and not each!)

I buy Vauxhall ones from their trade club for £20 for a box of 20. £1 each. They work just fine for me and last a couple of winters on average - about as good as the Bosch ones that were about £2.50p from ECP.

£20 for a pair of wiper blades - some people must have money to burn.

Goodyear retrofit aero blades from costco are good.

Areo blades from Tesco's work for me £6 a blade run them on all my cars and they seem to last a few years and work well.

That is cheap. I was doing some company VAT returns the other night and came across a receipt from Land Rover for £87 to supply & fit 2 wiper blades on a Discovery.

On my cars I have been fitting Goodyear blades from CostCo, they do a great job!

Bosch. I wouldn't irk at spending more if necessary though, £20 is a small price to pay for that satisfaction you get when you get a totally clean sweep 😊

No blade can make the stty MINI rear wiper sweep an area more than 4 inches high though.
