Interesting cars £2-3k

I'm potentially getting a Polo GTi, dependent on whether the guy decides to sell or not. However, given the price, I started having a butchers at what else can be had in the two to three thousand pound mark...I'm quite surprised at what bang for your buck you can get...

Sorry, i'm not a GG regular..but yes, an MR2 turbo would definitely be considered an interesting car for the cash.

Loads of fun to be had in this price range.

I'd forget hatchbacks and get one of these, not a sports car but very enjoyable to drive and own. Put it on classic insurance for a couple of hundred and your laughing.

I remember the early 90s magazine comparisons of these to Mk3 Golf, Tipo and R19 16vs, but can't remember if they ever had anything good to say about them. Driving position was always slated, and if it was anything like the 145 then it certainly wouldn't have suited me. But interesting I think it is nonetheless!

It actually looks fairly clean for the cash I think, although strange they didn't bother with the usual pic of the V8 under the bonnet
