Pick up and drop off servicing?

I work in an area where it seems the only servicing/MOT place in walking distance is a blue and yellow branded one. Experiences in the past have left me a bit dubious about using them. Now I've seen a 'mobile' service where they pick up your car from place of work, but I have nightmares of them taking the long way round and hammering my pride and joy up and down the duel carriageway and back lanes. So would you let a company pick up and drop off your car for a service? Or risk it and potentially have pants pulled down on price/parts etc?
