Vinyl Roofs

Whatever happened to vinyl roofs?
I know it's a sign I am getting old but at one point they were fitted to a lot of Lux or GLX etc models.
People also had them retro fitted.
Don't seem to see them much now

They extended over the whole car; we call them "wraps" now.

RR SZ series were (IIRC) the last cars with factory option vinyl roof.

My neighbour has this horrid Chrysler thing with a vinyl roof.
