Car insurance renwal/cancellation question

Hi guys,

I didn't go ahead with my renewal from direct line and have moved providers for a much cheaper deal. Direct line sent out my renewal notice and then after i called sent out a cancellation notice....which is correct. however, they asked me to send back the NEW certificate of motor insurance that came with the renewal notice; but i didn't get a new certficate

all they sent was a renewal notice, which isn't a certificate.....so what do they want??

Just call them/write a quick note and post back to tell them the certificate was not included in the pack, sometimes they send out the certificate early.
