Toyo Proxes Specific Audi Fit

I've been pricing up some Toyos for my S6. I've found two very similar tyres for sale. Both are Toyo Proxes 265/35/19ZR 98Y. One is £138 and the other is £102. The more expensive one is AO fit which is specific for Audi vehicle. The other one is listed without this AO reference.

Would you save the extra £30 a tyre and go for the non Audi ones? What would the difference be? The tread pattern on the illustration is the same.

Probably a different compound, not sure how much difference it will make.

I had some toyo proxes t1 sport fitted in August, done 2500 miles and the rears are nearly on the wear bands! Very soft wouldn't recommend buy a quality tyre like Bridgestone or Michelin.

It is likely that the Audi spec tyre has some changes to the contruction in order to fine tune the car's handling properties.

In reality, you're not really going to notice any difference unless you're very sensitive to such things or are a professional development driver so the choice is yours.

i would imagine the tyre wall flex is matched to the suspension rebound rate

Typically, you'll see changes made to the bead apex as it's cheaper, quicker and easier to manage.
