I would be pretty sure thats on a container ship by now Im sorry to say.
Likely I know, eastern Europe is favourite apparently, but you have to try eh!How the hell they get them through customs I'd like to know!
Plus just thinking, it's far to high and wide for a container.

I'd guess wheels, cab and rear arches off then containerised and shipped as "machine parts" with the balance of bits in a seperately container. You could once semi dismantled possibly fit it inside a curtain sided arttic which is much less likely to be delayed by customs. Plus just thinking, it's far to high and wide for a container.

I've a feeling one of those new is at least double your guess?!I wold say that it is unlikely that a MTX will be sent abroad too far, as they normally use older 80HP machines, i would take a guess that Ireland is quite likely, which means that it does have a chance, if only slim of being recovered.
I've spent many an hour in McCormicks of various sizes, and they are a very under-appreciated tractor.
It seems ridiculous to me that most modern tractors (that steer themselves and have a minimum of 24 gears forwards and reverse) have the same 5 or 6 keys, a 1960s John Deere uses the same key as £200k combine! you would expect more from such expensive, and most importantly, crucial pieces of machinery really. Must be a hellish ball ache for you.
Thanks guys, yes a real PITA.
We are actualy a business that designs and makes electronics for various sectors including cars and tractors, so it was actualy a development machine on loan to us.
We have the whole thing on CCTV, 3 guys roll up in a silver Pugeot 306 at 20:03 on Sunday evening, walk over to it, get it started, then two walk back, snap off the barrier and then the tractoc drives off, they jump back in the Pugeot and drive off at 20:07.
4 minutes start to finish.
Curious coincidence (or is it) is that on Friday, 2 days before, at 14:30 a van cam on site marked up "Ex**** Tractor Maintenance and Repair" and stopped one of our guys in the yard and was looking round the trtactor and asking if we wanted to sell it. Our guy can't remember the name exactly, hence "Ex*****"
He might be perfectly innocent, but personaly I'm not a big believer in coincedence!

Been a spate of them round our way recently. However as they usually need a lorry or something to remove them (can't be driving on the road in a stolen tractor now can you) you tend to find them stashed somewhere local. On average, according to our local bobby, they are usually hidden for about 2 weeks not to far from the crime before being picked up.

Is round your way close to round my way?Our Police reckon there was a low loader parked down the road.

This, there's a big farming community around here and there are lots of these stolen every year. I would expect to find it on a remote bit of land, stashed behind an old barn or something under cover while they can arrange something to pick it up with. Go for a drive locally and ask farmers if they have seen tracks where there wouldn't normally be any or haven't been for a while.

No I am in Yorkshire but the "word on the street" is that these gangs are more national than regional. Hence why tractors are hidden for a bit. I presume they only have 1 low loader and its been busy recently. Our Police reckon there was a low loader parked down the road.
Speaking to a mate, hes a farm hand, they have had 2 combines and a brand new on demo Jhon Deer go in the space of 2 months.
How did the old bill know there was a low loader? CCTV?
If its anything like the tractors ive had all the keys are the same as each other so for example if i had a jonh deer i could start that tractor there with my key and open the door as well no trouble at all.
And as far as i know, like plant machinery ill be amazed if thats got a tracker in it. So sadly its proberly long gone

I think that was just the Polices assumption, nothing on CCTV.Speaking to a mate, hes a farm hand, they have had 2 combines and a brand new on demo Jhon Deer go in the space of 2 months.

You are right on the keys and security front, ironicaly one of the things we were trying to get manufacturers interested in was tranfering the key security technology we do for cars onto Tractors!
