Decent sports saloon/coupe/hatchbacks for under £4500?

Looking for something a bit more exciting to replace my 2003 Ford Focus TDCi (115ps).
Needs to be reliable above all else as I'll be using it for work and motorway driving, but a little bit of kick would be nice if I ever want to take it on a track day. Decent boot space is a must (even if it's a 3 door with rear seats that fold down, that'll do me) and be big enough to tow a trailer. Sporty looks and a nice interior would be great.
The only thing I've found that ticks all these boxes is a Celica T-Sport 190 and although they seem to be great cars, people who've driven them say they feel horribly underpowered until 6000rpm when the 190bhp is delivered all at once and this puts me off a bit. I'd consider a Scooby WRX if only the insurance wasn't so expensive.
Any other suggestions? I don't want to get anything older than what I have now.

Reliable? I like to think so. Mines on 140k (although it isn't a HOT, it is running 220bhp), I've only had it since 138k but research shows they're good for much, much more. Lovely in gear acceleration for the motorway.
Decent boot? Check, mine swallows things up! I don't know about towing all that much, but assume it's big enough to be a tow car.
Sporty looks? Aye. But can also blend in, if needs me. And comfy? The comfiest seats ever!!
