Sensibly priced Van hire in london

Van hire.

Is it really possible to get a van for £40/day like Sixt and Enterprise advertise? These deals seem to only exist at obscure times of the week.

I require one in the London area for Saturday morning.

Any advice relating to some decent first hand experience on this would be good.

Zipvan is out of the question as the mileage will exceed the limit.

Wherabouts in london? Tried the smaller firms, they normally have a fleet of slightly older and more characterful vans at cheaper rates.

Pretty sure I've paid about £40 for a transit from the place on holloway road, by the station.

Not sure where in London you are. These guys in Kingston are good. £39 a day for a newish VW Transporter.

I've always used H&H Van Hire... Cheap and you can drop back after hours.

However they, like everyone else, have a minimum 2 day hire at weekends (understandably), so if you can find a company that will hire just for the Saturday, that's likely to be your best bet.

If you're in SE London, a mate of mine often uses Diamond Self Drive. A few of the vans he's had looked knackered as fk, but its only like £45 a day so...
