Manufacturer reworked cars - What and who?

I've always had a dream of marrying two manufacturers together to produce my dream car. Something like they did with the Lotus Escorts, Cortinas, and Sunbeams. It doesn't have to be sports related, so for here's mine for starters.....

Take a FF Range Rover and give it to Aston Martin. Swap out the LR motor and drop in the AM 6.3 Twin Supercharged lump. Then give the car to AM's bodyshop for a paint job and reupholster.

The power and opulence of an Aston and the presence of a FFRR (and before someone says Overfinch - i know, i know, i know!! ).


Anyone have any ideas of their own?

I have the same dream, though with me it is a FFRR by Bentley. In my dream, it doesn't turn out as a Footballer's bad taste chariot, just something very, very nice indeed.

Aren't Mazda and Alfa working together on an MX5 type car? Alfa looks with MX5 drivability! If they get the price right surely it has to be a winner.
