I read of a case where a UK insurer effectively built a small intensive care ward attached to an accident victim's house because she needed 24 hour care for life. As a claims director said "cars are cheap compared with people".

Wasn't there one a few months ago (maybe more than a few) of a fleet of Ferraris getting pranged somewhere in Asia (maybe Japan?)
