Want a cheap used estate car

• Estate car
• Less than £2000
• Half decent economy as will be used for motorway driving also
• Reliable, can be abused

Passat - aside from iffy electrics if the scuttle area fills up with water they have the most usable boot space of any estate I've owned and cost virtually nothing to run, especially if diesel powered.
