Best way to value your car?
Discussion
I have a 02 Vauxhall Corsa C 1.4 SRI 16v - basically only using this atm for the commute to work ect... Wanting to buy a diesel & sell this one its in good condition about 75k on the clock, looks the part aswell its slightly modified but not "Chav Tuned" as I like to call it has 12 months M.O.T - Just looking for the best places to look to get a valuation on this one, I was thinking of putting it up for around £1400 & see what happens, Its good on fuel and very clean, do you guys think that is a fair price?

Autotrader says about £1500-£2k
Basically, search for similar specification, milage and age and see what prices they look for on autotrader (good condition), ebay (middling condition) and gumtree (dodgy scam tastic ads). When you start seeing cars identical to yours, knock 10% off and that's what you should expect. Add/subtract money for things like a long or short MOT or road tax, full service history or no history at all, number of owners, new or worn tyres, any major work done or due... you'll get the picture of where your car sits in the market.
Avoid selling on owners clubs. Everyone already has one - that's why they're on the woners club, and everyone just wants a mates rate bargain.
