A mobile phone and a bluetooth headset? This is not a dilemma.

Are you asking us or telling us?

What's the dilemma?

A difficult situation or problem.
Synonyms:
quandary - fix

Bluetooth headsets?

i) Bluetooth car kits [legal as it's handsfree]
ii) Bluetooth ear pieces [legal as it's handsfree]
iii) 2-Way radios (like top gear) [legal as it's specifically carved out from the mobile phone while driving law - *]

_* - Do note, that if you're not in proper control of your car then you can still be 'done'. This might be because you're holding a phone, or a radio, or a cheese sandwich. However a mobile phone will see you booked just for holding it, regardless of whether you're out of control or not. A cheese sandwich or a 2-way radio will not see you done under the phone law.

I regularly use 2-way radios whilst driving in convoy, as I have radios but don't have a bluetooth earpiece or car kit.

They work well. We had a three way trio with these on the way over to Le Mans a couple of years back, one lad was on his bike. We used them 'hands free', by virtue of a microphone and push button on a lead positioned around the chest, the walkie talkies were left in the centre console.

Although much better than using the device hand to mouth, I'm still not sure that our method was 100% legit in the eyes of the law.

What? And save on the money for fuel? Rediculous.

Two tin cans and a string is the solution.
Get an adult to help with putting the holes in the bottom of the tin cans.

Learn sign language. I know most of the gestures used by many motorists these days and it doesn't take long to pick them up hehe

Or if they ride their Raleigh Burners and Choppers to school they won't have to shout.

NB: I don't know what the cool kids are riding to school these days.

Get a CB radio. They're legal to use while driving and aren't too expensive. Plus your car will look like it's remote controlled.

Here's a photo of my car with mates on the EVO Triangle a few years ago when we were around your age. The two on the left were both fitted with CB, which came in very handy for "the local farmer has just bked us and is looking for you".

Corsas. Usually 1.2 (most consider 1.4s but they're not much quicker, so pointless) often SXi variant for the decent seats and spoiler.

The kids get driven to school in massive 4x4s. Cycling to school is so 1985.

I think it may be to do with the fact that there are a variety of users from different demographics, and not everyone is upper-middle class, able to communicate to A-Level English standards on the internet, etc

The walkie-talkies I have have headsets which plug in to them. You still have to press to talk but less distracting.
