Where to get winter steel wheels

Looking for some suggestions as to where to get steel wheels to put the winter tyres on (Golf MKV 2.0TDI/GT TDI) - VW main stealer want silly money, but equally I want some decent quality ones.

Any recommendations please?

A scrappy... Just look up what figment you need and which cars used that fitment historically (I am guessing a lot).

Ebay is where I got a cheap set of winter alloys. Well worth a look.

I got steel wheels for my Passat from a VW dealer, think they were only about £60 each.

I have a full set of 16" mkV Golf alloys with decent winter tyres that were used on my old Octavia if you're interested...

Thanks for the offer, but I've got the tyres, just need either a set of steelies or new alloys for summer and use my old corroded ones for winter.

Any recommendations for where I can get a decent set of alloys then as an alternative, I'd really like to get standard ones??

Especially if you have a GTi/GTD which will come on nice/larger wheels, there is likely to be lots of smaller wheels (in golf fitment) that people have taken off and replaced with the nicer GTi/GTD wheels.

(This was the case for my BMW and Audi - in both cases the alloys were £100 for the set in 16" size, so cheaper winter tyres too!)

If you want new, Mytyres and Oponeo sell steels for most cars. Mytyres will send them out with winters already mounted if you want.
