Stopped by the police 9 times in 12 months

I am starting to get a little annoyed with this. i have been stopped by the police 9 times now in the last 12 months and every time bar twice i have been told it was just a random stop. The other two times i was told it was because its an expensive car and i look very young i am 20 years old and still look about 12, to a certain extent this is understandable but the other times the claim its just a random stop and tell me that alot of these cars are getting stolen. the car is a bmw 1 series coupe. as i say i can understand that it looks a bit out of the ordinary to see what appears to be a 12 year old driving such a car but at what point does this become a piss take? i can't help it if i look young every time i see a police car i feel like they will look at me then pull me over,when a police car is behind be im constantly waiting for them to pull me, i am always polite when i do get pulled but it is really starting to piss me because im actually becoming paranoid every time i see a police car!
I am a member on a 1 series coupe forum and nobody else on there has been stopped 9 times in 12 months. will making a complaint actually do anything? isit not possible for them to have records on computer that this car has been stopped 9 times in 12 months and has been legal every single time with a description of the driver or something? surely in this day and age this should be possible?

Well if you insist on driving such a rare, beautiful fast car, you have to expect getting pulled over ever 2 minutes.

Lol!You have to see it from the coppers view, if he saw someone very young looking driving what seemed like a car out of his reach you would jump to two obvious conclusions. It's either daddies car or its stolen. If you really think its harassment then complain to the IPCC.
Just something you have to put up with at that age unfortunately.From the age of 17-20 I drove around in my dads company rep mobiles as I couldnt afford my own car.They were only a mondeo and a cavalier but were new every 18 months and I was getting pulled over every other night.......that and because I used to drive them like a total knob!

Got to your local cop shop and ask them to either remove any markers they have on the car, (they probably don't have any if you get told "random stop") or ask them to put a marker on saying "stopped 9 times due to young looking driver"
shouldn't be any markers are i got it new, but if they could put a marker on to say stopped 9 times that would be good. isit possible for them to really do that?Fox- said:
It's probably your driving style. I never encountered this when I was about your age in similar cars - even at 1am with a car full of mates on a Uni night out. Something attracts the attention of them in the first place - then they spot your age and pull you over.
