X3 diesel auto

Seriously considering one of these. Anything to look out for?
Was originally looking at cayenne or Merc ML or even the lexus but they seem too big for everyday and not sure about the hybrid in case of the Lexus. Although it seems the perfect size.. Would an x3 be too much of a compromise? Is it as comfortable as its bigger rivals?

Which version? For a completely biased view - x3

I have just swapped a 2007 3.0D (E83) for a new 3.0D (F25) - the E83 I found agile, fast comfortable stationary and very hard on the suspension (compared to what I was used to anyway) - The F25 version is much better in that respect, faster but I am not sure it is quite as agile (but no means bad) and have yet had chance to throw it around much.

Have you looked at the Audi Q5? I have a new shape 2.0TDI 177 Stronic Sline plus (nice snappy name!) and despite what people say the ride is fine and the engine quiet and powerful enough. Looked at the X3 but the Audi was more roomy and preferred the looks. Also had a much better standard spec.

Yeah was E83 I was looking at. It is as a third car so budget limited...hence audi ruled out. I will try to book a test drive somewhere...
