Really quick question - how to get an exact model and spec

My car is due for MOT this month and in an exercise in Bangernomics, and not knowing what my old nail will need, I am looking at an alternative cheap car

It belongs to a lady at works Mother and has failed MOT but I have the fail list and it needs very little doing. I have the reg. I know it is a 1.4 auto but was wanting to get the exact spec if possible

She wants scrap value for a P reg Clio with 26k!!! on the clock

What does it say on the V5? What are the badges on the back?

Not seen it yet, have just got hold of the MOT fail certificate. I will be having a look obviously but was just wanting to check out what it is in advance.

Some of the insurance comparison sites will give the exact model if you type in the registration number.

In Bangerland, who cares? The V5 will just say Renault Clio.

Doesn't even need a couple of hundred. Fog light switch and bulb and headlight adjustment required!!

Are the bumpers the same colour as the body! 1.4 is probably an RT! It has been a while since I've had an old clio though.

Cheers for that. Have found it now thanks. 1.4i 3dr RT auto, with 25,600 miles on it

Failed MOT in May on the following:-

Rear fog not working
Rear fog switch faulty
Nearside headlight beam aim too low
Offside front headlamp aim beam image obviously incorrect

Question is whether to see what the 306 needs (I know it needs drop links)

Or to buy this, MOT them both and choose which to sell on for a few quid

306 only cost £520 in May but has one or two electrical faults (non-working window, temperamental wing mirrors) but nothing much other than that wrong with it.

Another year of bangers and hopefully finances will have improved
