Weekend car

I'm struggling to make my mind up on what I want. Currently I have a Passat W8 estate, very practicle, fairly swift, fantastic engine noise but not the most exciting on the twisties. And there's a lot of twisties in this part of Switzerland

All I need now is a weekend toy to go with it, I have a few fairly different ideas, but can't decide which way to go.

1. The PH favourite's
Pro's:
Cheap to buy and run
Great fun around twisty mountain roads
It's reliable
Most sensible of the lot
Con's:
There's no V8
Maybe too sensibe for a toy

2. TVR Chimaera
Pro's:
Great engine noise
A bit different (specially around here)
It has a V8
Will feel much more special for a weekend toy
Con's:
Very hard to find here, importing from UK is doable but a huge pain in the a***
Availability of spares, who would service it, etc...

3. Boxster S
Pro's:
Like an MX5, but faster
Easier to re-sell than a TVR if I want to change
Con's:
No V8
Doesn't get me as excited as the prospect of a TVR

4. Mustang ('67 or '68 289 notchback)
Pro's:
I love classics and am yet to own one
One of the coolest looking cars in my eyes
Con's:
Will it be all that fun around the local Alpine roads?


Those 4 have been on my mind for a few weeks now, just wondering what PHers experiences are of different type of weekend toys.
