OEM Budget Tyres

A lot of cars only ever see one set of premium quality tyres during their lifetime: the one's they left the factory on.

To save a few quid do any major car manufacturers sell brand new cars with budget brand tyres that no-one can pronounce, or do they still stick to the well-known names?

Hankook are being used recently by Ford... But these days, Hankook are more of a mid-range+ tyre

...and VW I think. Kumho are being used as OEM tyres by Hyundai and probably a few others. They're hardly an unknown brand though.

Some BMWs come with Hankooks too, I don't think they can be written off as budget rubbish anymore.

Spotted Falkens on brand new Micra. Every one on the transporter looked to be in the same tyre.

Hankook are border line premium now, they'll be the next brand to challenge the top 6 for sure.

Kumho have OE on some Korean cars, but they're a good mid range brand.

No OE uses proper budget tyres as far as I'm aware.
