From Dorchester to Sheffield.... Advice needed

So, there's a car I really want, nothing fancy - 2001 Lupo GTi with less than 17k on the clock. The only problem is that its at an Indy dealer in Dorchester, and I'm up here in Sheffield.
How is it best to get at this car?
- Only I have a driving license ( wife doesn't drive)
- We have to be back in Chesterfield the by 7pm Saturday for a fireworks display.
So far I've tried cadging a lift, but all of my friends that have a car that will make the journey don't want to do it.
So, as I see it, my options are
- take the train (6 hours + 3 changes)
- pay for a flatbed to bring it up
Any other ideas? Seems a real shame to let this car pass as its a minter. Shame its at the wrong end of the country.

Is it the red one? If its the one I think it is I could go and check it out for you as I am local, in the trade so I can appraise a car and I owned a Lupo Gti for 2 years so I know what im looking at!
-Train down friday night and travel lodge...
-Get the dealer to deliver it..
-Hire a car from one of the big chains that will allow you to leave it at a different branch.
-Get some new mates that are actually petrol heads.

I did my place to Sheffield this weekend in 3 hours, not pushing it at all. My parents live down near Dorchester and its 2 hours door to door for me.

OP, I'm happy to drive you from Leicester for petrol money, but can't do this weekend. (might be more expensive than the train, though!)

It may well be the cars in dorchester but Highcliffe is between christchurch and lymington an hour from dorchester! Its also an 01425 number which is the wrong code for dorchester. And the photos were taken outside Highcliffe castle!
Happy go and give it the once over will save you a wasted trip, looks mint though and mine was red the only danger is I buy it for myself!

Little bit confused because its claimed 03/53, but has an R plate on. That plate surely can't be a cherished plate? Also, some pics that were of the inside arent there anymore.
Trying to get hold of the seller now. Hoping that this isn't a case of too good to be true. :-(
