To track or not to track? That is the question...

Afternoon,
I have a E36 BMW 328i Coupe that has been laid up for almost 2 years now due to other commitments elsewhere.
The car has had problems with the starter motor, I currently have 3 starter motor's for the car, one does not fit because of the lightened flywheel and the other two are bust. The car also needs an ABS sensor and some work to the rear arches.
I have been thinking about a track car for next year. Do I stick the BMW on Ebay with a low reserve, take what I get for it and then start on something else or do I stick with the BMW turn two starter motors into one, get the old girl started and then strip, sell unnecessary parts and prep for track.
I only paid £1160 for the car and I have written that sum off long ago. Below is the spec of the car, as you can see I could sell some of the parts that are not required on track for a few £££. You will also note that the car has already got a reasonably decent chassis setup for track. (Looks like I am trying to talk my self into keeping the car!)
