Best Euro Breakdown Cover?

Yet another road trip planned! This time, in the e36 touring rather than e30 cabrio so a positively modern car by comparison!
Last time I tried AA for breakdown cover it was scandalously expensive. As such I used a company I found on a comparison site called First Call. Luckily I never had to use them.
As this trip is coming up, I was wondering whether anyone had any good suggestions/positive experiences. Not just in terms of wh owas cheap, but which comapny was actually any good when needed!
The E36 is from 1998 so 14 years old.
