40mph speed limits on all A roads

All cars with black boxes relaying driving info to insurance companies and premiums fixed accordingly

More speed cameras

Cars that drive themselves

And watch this space next week when they focus on the driver

Better driver training is the answer to safer roads, not more daft, invasive rules that people don't understand the point of.

Actually looking at what might happen instead of waiting for it to happen, car handling and plain bloody courtesy training.

A special 2 hour lane discipline course wouldn't go amiss either. Just a flashing message on screen saying, "if the left hand lane is empty, p1ss off into it" for 2 hours.

What an absolutely crap programme - as it showed there are good drivers and there are bad drivers - so has it always been.

Its the crap drivers that need purging - not all of them

The simple answer is this.

Ban seat belts, and have all cars fitted with a huge, sharp metal spike that comes up out of the middle of the steering wheel, pointing at the driver's face.

This would reduce bad driving to nearly zero overnight, I warrant
