Scooter nicked

A colleague has had his scooter nicked fron his local station sometime over the last 4 days. Not sure if day or night yet but checking CCTV. My question is, as he told the police about it at the time (Police car outside the station last night) if it transpires that it was nicked during the night over the 4 day period would his insurance be negated as he has stipulated on insurance that its on his drive over night??? Any help please.

I imagine if he checks his policy it states something along the lines of when parked at home it's on his driveway, and wont be covered for theft within a mile of his home unless it was parked on his driveway. I have similar for my motorbike, but parking in a garage.

What do you mean? Petrol station when he went in to pay?

I think that if he can prove that is kept at home a majority of the time i.e. he was staying over at a mates or something then insurance wise its ok.
