500 euro notes

About 6 months ago I (foolishly now with hindsight) accepted 2 x 500 euro notes for a payment. Been to pay into my account (same bank for last 20 years) and they won't accept them.

Anybody know where I can change them near Reading.

Try some other independent Bureaux de Change and see if they'll swap them for proper money. (These places tend to live on highstreets, but can also sometimes be found hiding inside post offices, travel agents, banks and increasingly... supermarkets.)

Anyone with any ideas other than cheese, bratwurst, olive oil etc?
