Repost probable, but many cool dudes banned for street racing. Birmingham.

Hopefully this won't descend into the usual racism, stuff about tedious Audis, 'power sells cars, but torque wins races', 'under seven degrees', or other such palmistry.

Do you apply the same thinking to Travellers? Reward their law breaking with a free site to do what they want.

Well yes they're supposed to but struggle to do so because the local, hard workin,g taxpaying, honest, proper standup members of the community don't like it.

Not that that's stopped Government doing whatever it wants in the past mind.

Not the same as travellers though, is it? An area isn't asked for all the time, just for a couple of hours in an evening.

One Sunday evening a month, local authority blocks off an industrial estate which is completely unused at that time. With the collaboration of car clubs, people shred tyres without anyone who isn't involved being inconvenienced or hurt. Police don't need to worry about antisocial behaviour elsewhere and only need to send the "nice" police Evo that they have for showing off. Everyone wins.

Why should you do something for free?

Track days aren't that expensive at all.

Racers need a select somewhere remote.

Came across these chumps a couple of times driving home from work in that area. I felt sorry for the families visiting Starcity and having to drive home and avoid the dheads clogging up the roundabouts.

Theyve been handing out section 69's or whatever they are to anyone who dares to even look at a car around here for a couple of months, all it did was move them 30 miles down the road to canvey. When they get moved on from there they will go back to docklands, and then back to lakeside. Would have thought that they would have changed tactics by now seeing as they have tried the same approach for atleast 10 years now and got nowhere rolleyes

Anyway, linked from that bbc article, over in caravan land.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-18012571

I'm sorry but I think the Police should count themselves lucky that they didn't get mauled that night.

The only hobby left for some people is cars and not only have the Government taxed it to death they're also banning people from enjoying cars. The Government is run by Criminals no better than the worst criminals we have known which has been shown by their dishonesty over and over again. Please flame me with your self-righteous PC sh*t in following replies but I think street racers need to be given some leeway.

I heard of a funny case where in some town somewhere the 'street racers' were 'racing' around the one way system at night - but only at the speed limit. Contest to see who could hit 30mph the soonest.

Very hard to actually find much to nick them for.

Tried that, they even attempted to hire a few areas around here and charge admission. The main problems were the numbers (over 500 cars on a fri/sat night) and obvious health, safety and insurance/public liability. Even the occasional arena essex nights struggle to continue because of the couple of thousand people that turn up.

So everyone has to pay more council tax because some "street racers" are too cheap to go to a trackday/RWYB?

give planning permission for a mc'd, a kfc, a subway and a chipshop and cash in with the business rates.
