Morning all

I need new tyres for the BMW all round and wondered where the masses go for the best deals.

I don't need them fitted, and if they're local, I could pick them up. Or delivered if too far from Essex

Cheers

Always used Camskill - good prices but stock levels seem variable.

Otherwise: Mytyres, Black Circles or perhaps your local tyre place (you may be surprised).

My local Hi Q beats the online tyre sites every time.
They must of got greedy because years ago no one could match mytyres.

I've used mytyres and black circles and my local garage to fit them. I have spare wheels which is handy because I can drop old wheels and tyres off in the morning and pick the newly fitted tyres at my convenience.

I use my local independent tyre fitters, I may end up paying a few quid more, but I know they aren't selling me tyres that have been sat on a shelf for years and that they'll look after my alloys.

I've used Jet tyres in Basildon previously, they've always beaten any price i've managed to find online, i.e. Camskill et al once fitting is factored in. They've fitted tyres to 4 different cars of mine so far (all with Alloys) and i haven't had any problems. They will probably supply only if you want to get them fitted elsewhere.

A lot of my colleagues use elite tyres though, who i think are based in Dagenham.

yes On the old A13, not used them myself but supposedly good service.

I always use Portland Tyres (Dagenham), tiny outfit though so would probably need to phone ahead to make sure they had your tyres in stock. Much prefer using the independent places, invariably get a lot better service/care/price/so on and so forth. smile

With the Euro rate being pretty good can be cheaper to import

Local independant tyre guys, they almost always have stock and when they dont they get it in nice and quick.

Might pay a little more than online but they are careful and I would rather that than some random with a van I will never see again if they damage my ( crappy ) wheels.

I will be trying out this site for my winter tyres as they are cheaper than mytyres and camskill. Was pointed to this site from other PHers as well

I always buy my tyres where they're going to be fitted. That way we all know exactly who's responsible if there are any problems.

I've used Elite, Camskill, Mytyres and Oponeo.
All been first rate, you just need to shop around on prices...

Got access to wholesale rates through business but suprizingly these prices are simular to Camskill's- they must be operating on a small margin.
The advantage for me is I get Camskill-ish rates with free delivery, and then I fit them myself for free, balance them and fit them to the car with a calibrated torque wrench smile

Queens park tyres in billericay if that's near you. Don't know how they compare to online but the service is exceptional. Turned my gf away several times saying she still had enough tread left, could have taken advantage but didn't. They mainly stock bf goodrich
