Just found this in my local classifieds - been looking for a nice one for ages. What should I look out for, and is there any reason I should look elsewhere for a bit of V8 power?

http://sharjah.dubizzle.com/classified/autos4x4s/c...

The description translates as follows:

"Peace be upon you to Ominae SS Coupe 2006 red color inside the skin of red and car situation and agencies and the use of one person and cattle 60 thousand .. Car found nearby farmer camp in Sharjah."

I think the biggest problem is going to be communication.

Having cattle own it would probably put me off... I'd have thought a Ute would be more up their street biggrin

He means Calibra hehe

The VXR8 is the Vectra looki-like smile

On a serious note, as already mentioned, do go to Gassing Station » Other Marques » HSV & Monaro and ask this same question again - that's where all the Monaro owners live - you'll get a more constructive answer (and we're all very friendly)

There are a couple of HSV/Monaro owners in the MIddle East, but I don't know if they would have come across the car.

If that's a good price, then be careful, or one of them could snaffle it out from under your nose. hehe

Its an Australian supplied car but someone has added the american badges - this can only mean one thing............. it was owned by a bogan. A bogan is a species that looks like you and I but actually has the intelligence closer to that of our ruminant friends. It will have been thrashed to within an inch of its life and run on a shoestring budget- STEER clear!

Its about 6.5k uk money but they dont really get any cheaper than that here, the KM's however are very good smile

Given another couple of months id probably be tempted, my colour too lol

However it is in Sharjah the clocking capital of the middle east, would require some serious service history to back up the KM's, and if the cars been doing a rather odd 2000km's per year for the last few years id probably walk away from it!

That is very helpful, thanks. I must admit the KMs do seem a little low. Will be wary of that. Cheers
