Wrong Oil

took my car in for a service last week,an immaculate Audi A2

noticed when I got it home that on the receipt it had TDI after it

now he knew it was a petrol because I told him and it was down in the book

the car also had a coil fitted

today the car is shuddering every time a go from 2-3-4 gear

i'm thinking he could have put diesel oil in it by mistake or do you think it's something to do with a misfire and faulty coil

Unlikely down to the oil. Diesel oils are usually similar with extra detergents.

If its misfiring its much more likely to be down to the coil.

most engine oils will cover both diesel and petrol applications and specifications anyway

I recon if he used Diesel Grade oil most likely fully synthetic in modern diesel engines it would make very little difference to your car over the shorts term.

The ruff running is too coincidental to a coil pack being played with in my opinion why not phone the Garage and ask them?

i put it through the MOT the next day and it passed with flying colours

phoned the mechanic and he said every coil was working when he serviced but it could be a the ignition leads

relatively cheap fix if so
