Best buy? Higher or lower mileage?
Discussion
Just involved in a thread in the jaguar section about whether it is better to buy a low mileage car, which has " probably" only done short journeys or better to buy a higher mileage car which has " probably" done longer regular journeys.
Personally all things equal I would always go for the lower mileage car, unless the mileage was extremely low and the car had sat for long periods which you might be able to tell from the mot mileage ?

Depends on the car and exactly how low or high we are talking.
Despite what many say few cars make it over 150k without a few major bills.
Also you have to consider re sale and it's very hard to sell cars at a sensible price once they go over 130k IME
However my Dad bought 3 very low mileage cars (around 10k on 15+yr old cars) and all three blew up when the new owners started using them regularly.
