Today is good day because I passed my theory test, first time - very happy indeed and one step closer to freedom. I am celebrating with a motoring themed day - I am reading EVO COTY magazine, watch he DVD later and then I await the Drive feature tonight. biggrin

I passed at 10.45am this morning, and I even missed one hazard perception clip as I was surprised that this car just pulled out in-front of the camera car - seeing that caused me to forget to click. hehe

I know I will be thrown a bunch of starry bra's for this story - but thought I would share anyway.

Good luck with the next bit - a world of un-justifyable fees / costs / premiums awaits!

I'm amazed young drivers can even afford to fuel their cars nowadays with the cost of insurance!

infact now I come to think of it, it was 23yrs ago yesterday.

Well done JT all you have to do now is pass the proper test then get lubed up for the arse raping you are about to get from the insurance companies.

I am quite a confident driver, and my instructor says that he is very pleased and relaxed with me behind the wheel - I just need to book it and then hopefully get a car in early 2013. smile

Congrats smile.

I hated my theory, but I hate tests like that.

Theory test is a piece of piss. A gerbil could do it.

Practical test is 100% luck.

Not really, are you saying that if you took the test now (assuming you've been driving a while) there's a reasonable chance of you failing?

Not 100% luck, but a significant amount. Willing to bet a good few people who've had their license a long time wouldn't pass first time, if they had to take it again.

I passed my driving test somewhere near '95 and have driven a car almost every day since.

I had reason to take a theory test about 5 years ago, and failed miserably. I got all of the questions right but had the score of a blind man for the hazard perception.

I wish that I was a gerbil.

Well done OP, you will be able to forget everything that you have learnt soon driving
