E36 328i Coupe - Pilot Sport 3 or Primacy 3
Discussion
Hello all. Quick question - going to buy a new set of 4 tyres for my recently purchased E36 £28i coupe. Costco's tyre deal has left me with two options, the Pilot Sport 3 or Primacy 3.
My thoughts are that the PS3 are a good sport tyre but might wear out sooner than the primacy, and offer more lateral grip.
Now, this is where the decision process breaks down. This is currently a daily but I'm already getting evil thoughts of weekend 'ring trips next year because of how good it feels to drive. So it'd be good to have extra grip. However, for playing around in the rain and a tiny amount of slideyness, would the harder wearing, lower grip tyres not actually be more fun? I understand the Primacy HP (which is apparently going to be phased out to be replaced by the Primacy 3) is fitted to the GT86 for instance.
Any further thoughts?
Cheers!
ETA: It's currently on 15" winters til April, so the only real rush is the end of the offer!
