Or the person who sold you their car? Just curious to see if anyone does. I've just emailed the previous owner of one of my cars to show him what it looked like after the restoration as he did tell me he would be curious to see it finished when I bought it from him.

Anyone else?

Tried to, for a while. On Facebook.

A few photos of my beloved car being raked, and constant repulsive chat between him and his other half, on Facebook, while out TOGETHER, put a stop to that.

ahole.

I kept tabs on my pride and joy MX5 through MX5Nutz, unfortunately it was recently written off when parked up after someone ploughed into the back of it frown

Wish I hadn't kept in touch now!

The Honda was owned by my Dad for ten years....so yes! hehe

But to stay on topic, I had an Escort RS Turbo S2 a little while back. The carpets were constantly soggy, so I had enough and lifted them up to investigate, finding a small piece of paper tucked in between the sill and floor. It read...

"My name is xxxxx. I bought this car in 1994. If you are reading this, I assume you are looking for a water leak. Check the seam sealer near the bulkhead, I just repaired it! Would be interested to hear how the old girl is doing! 18/11/98"

The phone number was unfortunately unrecognised, would of loved to speak to him....Oh, and he was right, it was the seam sealer! hehe

Person I brought my mini off keeps trying to buy it back offered me 2.5k for the car two months after I brought it for £1600 from him when he found a job he was that desperate to get it back. He was gutted when I binned it and occasionally speaks to see how I am progressing in fixing it all back up smile

I stalked the ITR-DC2 forum for a little while to see how my beloved, totally original DC2 was doing. He cleaned it up nice, but also looked like it was going to end up heavily modified. I decided to forget about that after a while.

I restored a Eunos RS-Limited to original, sold it to someone I worked with (who is on facebook). He began to finish what I started, but then his girlfriend pranged it, and then he wrecked one of the sills jacking it up and finally sold it to someone with the intention of turning it into a track slag frown

I work with the girl who bought my Alfa. Which means at least I get to keep an eye on it and make sure it's looked after

Not a clue what happened to my VXR othe than when I saw it for sale a few months back.

I kept an eye on my ep3 thought the civic type r owners, after telling the guy a couple of small niggles to barter down when he bought the car from the garage I traded it in at, he basically just took off a few of the mods I did too it and then also sold it not long ago. Not sure where it is now.

No. Why on earth would I want to? It's a one off transaction between 2 complete strangers for a lump of metal and plastic.

I wish I'dkept in touch ith the chap who bought our band van. Was a bit of an adventurer, wild camping in Mongolia etc. I'd have loved to have seen our van on an epic adventure like that.

It would be a bit awkward though if anything major went wrong!

Well my MG came from my grandad so yes. He saw it a few times before he died.

Also had a Ford Ka which was bought new by my dad and then sold to my sister who sold it to me. I sold it to my mum and she sold it to a welder as by then it was more rust than metal.

I sold my MX5 to a French kid, thankfully he seems to be really looking after it. Still has the PH smiley!

Other than a couple of emails about progress, I don't stay in touch. I want it back!

Yes. But has only happened with the Porsche's.

The 944 belonged to my Dad's work colleuge/ friend. We hear from him now and again and whatever nice car he happens to be running

We also keep in contact with the couple Dad bought the Boxster S off. Funnily enough they sent us an email a few weeks after we got the car with the topic line 'Yours in 10 years?' with an attached picture of a beautiful 981 Boxster S that replaced the 986! I think Dad will give in....Eventually!

I have kept in touch with a couple of people that bought old cars and have kept in touch with maybe one person I bought a car from.
I did stumble on the lad I bought my E30 M3 off - some freaky thing Facebook does if it knows an email address.
Anyway I sent him a message telling him I still had the car and sent him a couple of pictures.
He didn't reply but I'm sure he's not bitter that he sold it to me for £5200.

Kept in touch with the old lady I bought my Mini from - the car was a part of her family since new so she was very sad to see it go. She came to a show in September and was thrilled with how it was looking, which was pleasing given the look on her face when my dad told her when we went to view it that he was buying it for his 17-year-old son hehe
