Which track/sports/coupe car with a £1500 - £2000 budget,

I know this question has been asked before but with this recession prices are dropping and you can get a lot of car for your money. Looking for rear wheel or 4wheel drive, with a bit of grunt, doesn’t have to be bmw just want something that is a lot of fun, but won’t cost the earth to run and will be reasonably reliable. Live in the lakes with easy access to Scotland so might want to keep it as a road registered car so I can take it for a blast locally too.

currently looking at:

330 ci coupe
Z3 2.8
Supra
MR2 Turbo
Subaru Imprezza
Celica GT4
Integra Type R

Anyone have any experience of these models? Any thoughts appreciated.

How about a Mk3 MR2? Meant to handle very, very well.

I took out a new mx5 2.0 out of curiosity but it didn't have enough grunt to make me smile, even with a good rev I was surprised how sluggish it seemed although the handling was good. Why are the 328's more popular than the 330's (both E36's) or is it just that they are cheaper?

You can cross the Integra and Z3 off that list.
