Looking at the video it seems the Soviets don't know how to drive. I wonder if they don't have driving licences or they can just apply for a licence at the local Post Office, they certainly don't have the MOT system, or do they have the special Soviet MOT system, in that if it starts, it's ok .....

I certainly would question about driving in Russia ....

OMG! Perhaps UK drivers aren't so bad after all (even less sure about non-Brit drivers over here tho' eek)

Having driven through quite a bit of Russia on the way to Mongolia, I can certainly vouch for the frankly unbelievable driving! It's incredible that there aren't thousands of compilations like this considering their driving "skills"!

Don't get me started on driving in India though!!

The difference in India is that it's not at speed, alright their Tuck Tucks will fold like paper in an accident but most of the drivers drive so slow that it's not that frightening. I've been all over Russia and the speeds they do these stupid manoeuvres at is frankly suicidal.

Hmmm, I wonder if the Russians watch videos of sloppy lane dicipline in the UK.

I love how the camera car is overtaken by a car going upside down on it's roof at 7:39 minutes into the video hehe

Based on my 6 years in the former soviet union, Like most things in Russia, driving licenses can be bought, as can their 'version' of the MOT

That video is hillarious.

Went to visit a friend in Moscow a few years back. He sent his driver for me, who turned up to the airport in a black V12 7 series and prompty drove flat out right in to the centre of Moscow (hitting the 155mph limiter on multiple occassions) ... 'Arthur' drove us round the city at any time of day or night for 3 days and he drove everwhere like the KGB were on his tail. I didn't get used to it.

I like the one (@5:32) where the guy in the Lada estate has a crash in the middle of a junction, then just calmly gets out, picks up his bag from seat and then walks off, as though he's just parked in the office car park.

Whilst I abhor the crap lane discipline demonstrated by so many drivers in the UK, I'd rather have that than some of the absolutely atrocious driving seen in that vid. Though I did think the low flying jet was rather cool.

Is that for real, Queen's "Don't stop me now" playing just as he drives into the back of the car in front?
