A friends Focus needs two new tyres. She mostly does short local trips so not much mileage, but I've always stuck to the theory that you don't cheap out on tyres because short trips don't mean you don't need grip.

From Blackcircles there are bloody loads and it seems that fitted there's only about a tenner a tyre in it from Khumo Solus to Goodyear EfficientGrip/Pirelli P7 Cinturato and a million other premium makes.

Be grateful for any recommendations please.

That's the fun part, trying to work out if it is as simple as pay more get better.

We're only talking £65 to £75 fitted for the ones I mentioned.

Size is 205/55/16 by the way.
