It's all in the word... "warranty" rather than "insurance"

I think they're largely reliant on them not going wrong, which if my OH's experience is anything to go by seems to be the case.
Only thing she's had go wrong is an A/C condenser earlier this year on a 5 year old minivan. Replaced with no fuss.

edit: just noticed there's supposed to be a picture in the OP, can't see it.

I have made much use of the warranty on my 12 plate Rio, bought from New...

Dash not attached correctly
heater matrix issue
numerous electrical issues

Its been in 5 times, needless to say it will be getting sold before the warranty runs out!

Does the warranty stay with it when you sell it? Or is it like brake pads from Kwit-Fit a while ago, lifetime replacements, unless you sell it.

Warranty stays with the car. 7 years or 100,000 miles.

The experience with my 11 plate Picanto is the exact opposite, it has been in once for faulty door seals that were promptly replaced.

Servicing costs however are eye watering - £300 for a 20,000 mile service and that was after significant shopping around.

You would be surprised. Kia US issued a dealer wide comm to advisor dealers on the problem and the fix. Kia uk refuse to acknowledge that the problem is anything other than a one off. My dealer told me they had fixed almost 50% of all that they had sold in April.

I actually laughed out loud at the OP whilst on a call with a client this afternoon. So wrong, but very very funny.

New Picanto and I think Rio are available with 3 years servicing for something silly like £250
