My Girlfriend came back to find her car damaged yesterday after visiting Tescos.

Unfortunatly the car park isn't owned by Tescos, but by the council.

Tescos have no access to the CCTV, so we contacted the police who have refused to help as there was no major damage or injury. We have yet to contact the council directly , but no doubt they will be unhelpful as well, is there anyway at all we can see the CCTV footage or is it basically tough st?

Mrs is on the case as we speak, but I'm not holding out much hope.

You can put in a freedom of information request or I believe you can use the data protection act to request the details.

I don't think FOI or DPA apply here.

The Council will likely help. They may want a fee, if they are like our local one.

Good luck, cctv images are usually so poor its hard to gain a positive identity from it.
My workplace was done recently, all on camera but the plod not really interested as there were no close up facial shots.
