Most of the buttons. My new daily driver will go to the scrap man before many of them have ever been pressed! Still paid for them though.

On my 2004 Focus, there are two illuminated switches to either disable or enable rear window operation in the back. What puzzles me is why the illumination is red, the window can be operated by the rear occupant, but the green one means they can't?

The aircon button light comes on when the fans are directed at the windscreen. Pretty sure it's intentional but I don't know why

It assumes you're demisting so puts on the air con in order to dehumidify.

It lights up green to show that you have activated the rear window isolator.

Exciting. I automatically switch it off - but does it automatically do so?

09 FN2 CTR, every time I get in and start it, it makes a beep from the stereo which I have no idea what it means.

The City button on the Punto that makes the steering light? Quite why you'd need it I don't know, since it's too light as standard. Only tried it once to make sure it was working.

My MR2 Roadster has an HGV-style reversing beeper factory-fitted. I know when I've selected reverse gear, thanks Toyota...

Green = everyone is safe
Red = danger (children will fall out of window)
